Hi Maria,
I think my essentials would be some nice chicken, fish, and lots of delicious vegetables, some fruit, and some wholemeal pasta and wholemeal bread. Maybe some lentils, quinoa. Definitely some porridge to ensure I have my lovely breakfasts. Some nuts, seeds, and I also buy quite a bit of olive oil for my salads and vegetables. Maybe some tasty cheese. Some sweet potatoes, some fresh herbs for flavour to add to different dishes - maybe coriander - I love that in salads and also making homemade curries.
Mmmm, I'm feeling hungry now!
Hope you have a good shopping spree, and that you enjoy your week.
Lowcal
Low fat yogurt, fruit, fresh and frozen veg, brown rice, fish, and lentils. Oh and skimmed milk. Xx
Porridge oats, bananas, berries, melons, grapes, fresh and frozen veg, Skyr yoghurt, salad leaves, cucumber, iceberg, tomatoes, celery, courgette, leerdammer, maasdam, melba toast, low fat Philadelphia, chicken, eggs are on my list every time I shop!
My treats are red peppers and vine ripened tomatoes 😊 Also a small sliced wholemeal loaf from the instore bakery
Eggs, porridge oats, pitta bread, rice, tinned chickpeas, bag of rocket, sugar snap peas, sultanas, fresh tomatoes, olive oil, red onions, sweet potatoes... Basically a good broad range but making sure not to forget the salady things too
Fat free Greek yogurt is now a must. I am beginning to find fat free fruit yogurt is too sweet. Also found a garden centre that does different flavoured balsamic vinegars'. Just tried the lemon infused one and it was out of this world on salad. Can't you just tell I'm on a roll.........
