I have almost stopped eating all meats don't drink cows milk only soya and am wanting to go Vegan especially after watching "What the health" on Netflix. Has anyone else gone Vegan is it difficult to follow the lifestyle? I am not the best cook and don't have tons of spare time to cook.

Hi there great decision!. Why don't you pop over to vegan foods forum. Lots of help and recipes. Good luck. Thank you on behalf of all the lives you will save

I would imagine you would need to do some cooking as many ready prepared foodstuffs may have non-vegan components. I have heard good things about the Vegan Society website vegansociety.com/ Especially the section on getting all the essential nutrients you need.

Good Luck!

I´m not vegan but doing a 3-week vegan challenge right now, and finding it easy. Lots of quick items in shops nowadays -tins of beans, pre cooked rice bags, salad bags... I do like cooking too, just don´t have much time for it like you. It does not take more time to cook a "vegan" soup than a soup with meat though! Definitely give vegan a go - even one day helps the planet! :)

Ad other people have said, the vegan society website has some good ideas. Just try a few and see what happens.

I think it is a good choice from an envitonmental and animal welfare perspective. Its not a ' defacto' health choice mind you and, judging by the amount of plastic wrapping on some high street vegan sausages, not always a low plastic either.

But vegan food is very tasty and quite fun.

Hi, this is my first reply on here...newbie alert lol! I have been vegan since last May and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I think it’s been a great year to be vegan with so many new foods that have come out in the supermarkets. My only problem is that I haven’t lost any weight as a side affect lol! Too much good vegan food. Any meal can be veganised now. If you are on insta there’s some fab pages on there to follow and so many foods are accidentally vegan anyway. I’m definitely happy to help you on your journey :)

Hi there thanks for you reply and offer to help that is great x I am so fired up and excited to become Vegan, been doing a lot of reading. I am not a big foodie so not going to feel like I am missing out I don't think, I am the proud owner of a lovely flock of Chickens and I keep rabbits my main motivation is helping the planet in my own small way and hoping I am doing my bit to eliminate suffering of animals. I also watched the netflix programme "What the health" what a wake up call !! Thank you so much again.

You are very welcome :-) I’d been vegetarian for 30 years but realising how much milk and eggs were in foods was a shock. I’m not a great foodie either. I gradually switched over last year to vegan with the milk being my last thing to switch. There are so many great resources out there esp on you tube. Aww love the sound of the chickens! If I ever won the lottery I’d love a little animal sanctuary xxx
