Hi all, this is my weigh in at the end of my first week. I have lost 4lbs this week, so from 12st 9 down to 12st 5 and i feel fab βΊ it's very motivating to see the number on the scale going down π. I stood on the scales 3 times just to be sure π . Congratulations to all other losers and if you maintained or even gained, keep at it.... You can do it β€

Hi Alli_Awan- , I would say the thing I did mostly this week was to calorie count using an app. On your phone is best, as if you are anything like me , it will be with you all the time! I used the my fitness pal app, you can scan the barcodes of the things you eat so its really quick. Every day this week(except for one when I was out of town all day on a course) I have stayed within my calorie goal of 1200. I have still had the odd treat. As long as it keeps within your calories then that's fine. I have only exercised on one day this week. I have a full time job and long hours so exercising is quite difficult to fit in but I was determined to do at least one day so I went for a brisk walk around my neighbourhood and tracked it with the fitness band I wear. It turned out that I walked for 3.5 miles and burned 500 calories :-). I have dieted before and done really well, but nothing ever lasted. The problem with me was that if I had a bad food day I would think I had ruined everything and just give up, falling straight back into my old ways. Now, because I am calorie counting, if I have a bad day, I can see it as its happening (try and add your calories when you eat them...don't wait until the end of the day). Just seeing that I don't have many calories left for the day is enough to stop me having that extra treat. That's literally all I have done this week. I am very impressed with the results.
