Watermelon

I bought an ENORMOUS watermelon the other day. I could bearly carry it. I weighed it and at 10kg it's significantly lighter than the amount of excess me I've lost. A really delicious eye-opener.

What a great post :-) I carried 5 liters of milk home from the store the other day and thought the same thing. This is how much I have lost - no wonder all physical activity (especially running) is becoming easier when I don't have to carry this weight around all the time

Fantastic knitsandcodes 😀 I visualise a slab of butter when I loose 'only a lb' it's amazing to see just how much it actually is!! Well done on your losses so far ... onwards and downwards to the next watermelon 😂

Mmmmmmm, watermelon. I should definitely get some! :D

It's definitely true how little weight loss seems to be until you can compare it to something tangible. I had managed to lose 40 lbs before going on my vacation. Which was just about the weight of my suitcase when I came back. I couldn't believe how hard it was to lift. And to think I was lifting all that extra before.

Now I just need to get back there so I can carry on down. :)

Another thing is you brought the melon home despite its huge size - I've found whereas before I lost the weight I thought things like this were too much effort, I now see the value in that effort. You burn the calories carrying the thing, and then you enjoy lots of low calorie snacks as a result of having all that melon in the fridge. So loads of positives here. Enjoy :)

What a great visualisation! Amazing to think you used to carry that around with you all day. You also made me think of a line from my favourite film 'Dirty Dancing' when Baby said "I carried a watermelon". Sorry if you don't know it but I may just have to dig out the DVD and watch it now :)
