Illustration of progress helps me keep the steam up

Last week I saw that one of you had made herself a motivational board with (among other things) an illustration of her weight loss progress. Itsbab has two jars with coins symbolising the lost and the to-be-lost pounds.

It inspired me to do this, and now I can see how far I have already come. Nice.

EDIT: It wasn't until right now looking at the bullets again that I realised I have almost lost 1/4 of the kilos already! Woo hoo!

Hi IbenCophenhagen,

Does each counter represent a kg or a pound? I know you give your weight in kgs when you weigh-in at the Monday weigh-in group, so I'm assuming it represents kgs?

Either way, it is a very motivational representation of your achievements to date. Great idea!

Lowcal :-)

It's kilos, yes. I want to lose 13 kg and have lost 3.2 kg so far.

That's what I thought, but wanted to double check. You're doing brilliantly! :-)

Oh thank you Lowcal :-)

Very effective! Makes it look all the more of an achievement so far. Aiming towards intermediate goals works for motivation too - e.g. 5% of body weight lost, then 10%, and so on :)

Definitely! My first intermediate goal is a healthy BMI of 25.
