Read through lots of posts and join in some of the challenges they really motivates you to carry on π
You have a fantastic goal and you will be 2 stone lighter for your 40th. 6 months is a really good time frame and if you put your mind to it that target will be smashed!
I started 15wks ago and have lost over 1 1/2 stone and I too have a target of 2 stone ... only 6lb to go. But I want too make a better, healthier me for the future.
I'm so glad you've printed out the sheets, use these and be truthfull about what calories your having. Stay under your upper limit of your calorie allowance and move more and you will loose at least 1-2 lb a wk if not more π
Good luck and keep us posted we are here with help and advice or just a pom pom wave when is going well.

I had been doing slimming world. But I can't seem to so it.
So I've looked into this NHS one. I've joined a gym. And love going.

It's my first day on the 12 week plan today and so far so good. I will be glad when the first few weeks are out of the way though as those are the ones i struggle with (going from all to nothing food wise).
You'll achieve 2 stone in no time at all just keep telling yourself why you're doing it
My overall target is a whopping five stone but i am going to set myself targets of a stone at a time which will hopefully make this seem less of a challenge.
I was where you are 3.5 weeks ago and quite excited. So excited, I had a bacon sandwich at the local cafe and bid them farewell as I didn't plan to go back! And haven't. I'm super pleased with how I'm going and I'm sure you will be with your progress, you sound very positive and determined. Happy days!
