Since January

Minus 8.8kg or 1.386 st or 19.152 Lbs.

37% of my goal weight to lose which is 24kg by February.

There's been times where I've wanted chocolate and sugar in my coffee but now if I have anything sweet it tastes sickly.

My diet is pretty bad and I wouldn't recommend it . As I work long day and work alot I struggle to eat sleep and drink enough but I'm watching what I'm eating no crisps I  bed or quick burger on the way home from work.

Lots of boxed salads out there, and things are getting better............a lot more choice!

There must be a way to improve your diet?  Batch cook, or diet chef?  I'm sure you must get some time off, I would urge you to get more goodness in, spiral use raw veg, ( the tasty stuff ) mange tout, cherry tomatoes , celery , carrots?

Well done on your loss, please think of your long term health, nap when you can too

By bad diet I don't eat enough. I live on my own without a cooker so I tend to buy ready to eat foods which are hard to buy without a ton of fat sugar salt or calories in.

I'm happy with my progress just need to keep it up .

3 months without sugar and added salt is tough for an ex chef. Xx

Rented house if I get one its more electric and ill have to take it with me when I leave. Also another thing to clean . Lol.

I get by with a toaster kettle microwave griddle and hot plate . I can cook basic food . But I'm not fussad managed without one for 10 months. Xx

Hi 9871ALPW,

It sounds like you've made some healthy changes, cutting out sugary things, so your taste buds have changed.  That's really great!  Congratulations on losing weight too - you've lost quite a bit since January!

Diana  has made some good suggestions, and maybe have a look at the Recipe post if you fancy taking some time to try new recipes and meal ideas.  I know you are strapped for time and working very hard, but maybe you could batch cook and have some great meals you could de-frost that you've pre-prepared and frozen yourself?

Wishing you a great weekend.

Lowcal :-)

Great advice.  I have a table top fridge . No oven or freezer so I tend to buy pre made food or just salad ect .

I tried some gammon today as I can't  good at home I've not had meat for a while.

My eyes watered it tasted so salty I spat it out.

Thanks for your comments xx

Well done so far. I am not sure by your post whether you still have bad habits or you have changed from the bad habits you did have :-) ? Either way it is working.

It is difficult when you work such long hours to always make sure that you have something healthy to eat. I find that cooking from scratch and making enough to freeze or for the next couple of days is best, as well as having something quick and easy for breakfasts and healthy snacks in the house.

nearly 20lbs down is an amazing achievement so onwards and downwards :-) John
