Failing on my own to make a difference. Hopefully some cyber support will keep me on the right path! They say a 10% loss should be your 1st target so at 14st (196lbs) I should aim for 20lbs which hopefully I'll lose over 20 weeks....

Many thanks - the weigh in will be good. I'll get to know the site better over the coming weeks hopefully!
Just wondering if u have thought about setting activity or eating goals like 5 a day. I decided to have weight loss goal with weekly weight loss "hopes" this time. This is due having tried and stopped so many times before. For me, daily achievable goals help especially during weight plateau weeks where nothing happens scale wise regardless of sticking to a plan. Just me so ignore if it doesn't suit you.
Hi SnowWhite - I've also been calories in/out driven but it clearly hasn't worked ☺ I'm hoping that having to account to folks like you every week, and being more aware as I blog things in here that I'll take more responsible choices.
I watched Ross Kemp last night who highlighted the perils of alcohol which again is a big vice of mine, so hopefully I'll be able to cut back heavily on this which should have some weight benefits!
Have you considered using a calorie tracker or online diary such as Myfitnesspal or Nutracheck? These make it so much easier to see what you are eating/drinking and when, and tell you when you have had your 1400 - 1500 calories or whatever you are using as your limit. A 1lb a week weight loss should easily be achievable if you are tracking what you eat and drink.
I started with 5% loss, and it made such a difference to how I felt 😊 Finding the right eating plan also very important to me, with enough to eat and treats allowed. Lots of help and support on here, and some inspiring success stories 😊 Good luck!
I am sure this forum will give you lots of support and motivation. Lots of interesting posts to read. I usually come on here if I feel like snacking. Bit of typing stops me eating!
