Hi Meg

Glad your looking forward to doing the things you want to do. I retired last August and found I had more headspace to focus on becoming healthier and found there were fewer distractions.

Have a good weekend

Yes, when you retire you will be able to concentrate on what you eat and how you exercise fully. In the meantime there is no time like the present, sounds like retirement is about 12 weeks away so ideal to start the 12 week plan and weigh in on Monday and set yourself the two stone target! Good luck and enjoy the weekend planning for your new healthier lifestyle :-) John

Hi Meg,

Welcome to the group. I've only been a member for a few weeks and have found everybody helpful and inspirational. I'm sure you will get to your target weight for your retirement.

Yes you can definitely do this! I was in the same position two years ago and 2 stone overweight. Lots of helpful advice on here . Don't be in a hurry though, a loss of 1-2 lbs a week is plenty fast enough, and if you plateau half way through don't give up!

It took me nearly a year to lose 30 lbs but Ive kept it off now since last april. I am now approaching 64. At last I feel and look good in my clothes and generally younger!
