Welcome :) You don't look anywhere near 18 stone :) I am also a giant slug due to illness, but i have discovered I really enjoy dancing, more like static feet dancing workout but its fun and focused and i make myself smile ;) Because i can't do the aerobics and have bowel issues too I have gone for a full exclusion diet and my innards are happier than they have ever been lol I am having to do a low call, no simple carb and no sugar, no diary apart from skimmed milk and no fats unless you get them in extra lean meat or fish 500-700pd. 2 1/2 weeks and over 12lb down feeling better. There are loads you cn do to veg and i am learning to love fish lol I use sugarfree jellies as treats and eat fruit x3.

This is just me, I am probably not normal. But I have had enough of 'healthy diets' 'Fad diets' 'whatever you want to call it diets' that make me eat more calories than I normally gain on and I do gain more ;) Plus I have to exclude so many foods on diet plans they can't be followed.

Fingers crossed, everyone on here has their own plan and some are following the NHS 12 week plan.

You can do it.

My cholesterol has jumped from 5.1 to 5.6 and worse my fasting blood glucose jumped literally overnight from 4.6 to 5.5. Still not pre-diabetic but getting close. These two things made up my mind on what i was going to exclude, not just weight but health.

Edited - forgot to add not checked cholesterol because that takes many months to change and is very often only a minor change through diet alone, but have checked fasting glucose and its down to 5. ;)

Getting married is the best motivation! The easiest way to lose the weight is to keep a record of what you eat and try and limit it to around 1400 or 1500 calories a day. You don't need to do a whole load of exercise - although if you can walk or move your arms and legs more than you would normally (maybe to music or a you-tube video) - it all helps to burn off those calories. You can eat the foods you like within reason - just up the vegetables and fruit, and serve smaller portions of meat, fish, bread, cereal etc Allow yourself some small treats which you can include in your total amount eaten. If you make your mind up to do it - you will succeed!

Hello 😊 What a lovely reason to lose weight ❤️

I have limited mobility (improved drastically now) and have found the key to exercise is little but often, and something you enjoy 😊 Dancing, walking the dog, gardening - it all counts!

Good luck 😊
