Hope everyone is ok x I've joined this group as I'm two stone over weight! I go to the gym and mainly do spinning and running machine. Ive all the good intentions in the world I put the effort in but I'm over eating as I excercise every other day,I think it's ok to eat more as I'm excercising it will come of but it won't! I need help and motivation to stop and take this over eating seriously! Help!!!

Exercise has so many benefits but what and how we eat is much more significant in terms of weight loss. I'm sure you'll have heard the saying, "You can't outrun a bad diet".
It's possible that it may be your choice of food, as much as the quantity. For instance, this may be an eye opener

Hey welcome to the forum. For some reason your username is hidden btw but anyway I am going through the same thing. It is so hard to cut back for a long time. I can do it for a day or two but there are some things that I want so much that I give in. I heard on the healthtalk website that it doesn't work to just diet. It might help for a little bit but not for a long time and I think that's because it's too hard to do for some people
The way I'm thinking of losing weight for a long time is to eat well and also get in a couple gym sessions during the week. I will also need to enjoy what I'm eating too and cut back on snacking which is very very hard for me because sometime it's the only thing I can think of.
I am definitely a comfort eater. I just eat to boost my mood for that half an hour then after that I get weakness and also the guilty feeling of eating for no reason. I think it's bad for my mental health too.
