After 5 weeks of steady weight loss and happiness, this week saw a real dip! Only 0.3kg lost.... After 4days in the gym and walking on non gym days! Maybe feels worse as I have a cold...but really disheartened as I thought it was going really well so far....positive energy my way pleaseeeeee

Hi 0.7kg is a great loss. Don't be so hard on yourself. Just stick to your plans and the weight will come off. Am sending you lots of positive energy🌬

Hope you are soon feeling better too.

Thank you, Mimsta! Just thought it'd be a greater loss as really worked hard at the gym this week! But your right 0.3kg is a loss and that's what's important! Need to focus on shifting the cold over the next few days!!

0.7 kg is over 1 and a half pounds. Most of us are thrilled to lose that in a week. Weight loss is never a straight line down but if the trend is down you are getting it right. Hope you feel more positive when you shake off your cold. Am sending a mug of hot Ribena (sugar free of course).☕️

Oh gosh! Just realised my predictive texted keeps changing it to 0.7.... Should say 0.3kg lol!! If it was 0.7kg I would be pleased! Teehee

Never tried hot ribena! Sounds Nom

If you lost 300 g every week you'd lose 15.5 kg a year. If you put that amount on every month you'd be nearly 4 kg heavier at the end of the year. It doesn't sound much, but every little counts. That's how we put the weight on - and now it's coming off. That's great. You've just got rid of a pack of butter - pure fat!

Wow - that's a really nice way of putting it.... Thinking about it as an average as opposed to an individual reading! Clever :)

Haha a tub of butter...it's all about how you think of it I guess- thank you x

Hi FitbitK,

Sending positive energy your way -------positive energy... :-) positive energy.... :-)

I think 0.3kg is a good loss, especially after having 5 weeks of steady weight loss and happiness. Often the scales can be fickle on occasions and weight loss slows for a moment, or sticks, or even increases (due to water and hormone fluctuations) but you're still seeing a respectable loss - so I think you don't need further positive energy, as you're already doing really well!

Please try not to feel disheartened, you're doing so well, and making great progress.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

Lowcal :-)

Hi,

Our bodies are weird things and sometimes you can have no loss one week and then a big one the next.

You have still lost over 1/2 lb so you are making progress. Sadly we can't wish it away (if only) and it is frustrating when your hard work isn't rewarded. See how you get on next week and hopefully things will improve.

Please don't be disheartened, I've had weeks where I've gained up to 5lbs! All through menopausal bloating, yuk, totally.

Luckily I found maca root, which has stopped all that, reading the other day about calorie cycling, where you eat less one day, say 1200 one day and then 1500 the next to reboot plateau, maybe try that?

I might try that Diana - thank you for the tip

Check out plateaus, in the past I've had them, not this time, as I 'cycled ' my cals, rather than being rugid in my allowances

Just remember that us women can suffer from water retention! It may just be that this week, I tend to see a good loss for around 3-4 weeks, then I have one of those weeks were I lose 0.2lbs etc, which is nearly nothing (but way better than gaining!)

Stick to it though, you never know the scales next week might double in loss as you may have lost weight this week but due to water retention the numbers aren't showing you this on the scales!

Another thing maybe an increase in muscle mass? That's what happened to me until I realised that I was speed walking on a treadmill at like a 35 degree angle, so I was turning fat into muscle rather than just losing the fat!

Keep at it you're doing well and you'll soon see the scales going down again!

Hey that's a bummer especially with you doing so well. But don't let it trip you up big time and may be to do with your cold. Wish you better and hope you get a good result this week. Stay focus send x
