My pledge today

No snacks after my dinner.

Uh...Uh....not one. Not one single teeny weeny snack.

Just for today.

Managed this day 1.

Day 2 mindlessly had handful of plain nuts in conversation with OH in the kitchen. I swooped in, grabbed and ate. Didn't even register this until some time later when I sat back down.

Come on....just for today! 😊

Hi Asics,

Wow, that's a great pledge to do on a Saturday, I can imagine it will be really effective - I don't know about you, but I tend to snack more on a Saturday night. I am therefore going to copy you today Asics, and will also try not to snack after my evening meal, and I hope to have that reasonably early so that I can have a 'large fasting window' - it's a good strategy to help get through the weekend - and I am keen to try to have a good result for Monday's weigh-in.

Good luck with your pledge.

I pledged yesterday (on Fizzyliz's post) to drink herbal tea rather than my usual tea with milk or coffee with milk. I wasn't all that successful as I still had my teas and coffees and only drank 1 cup of Ginger tea, but I enjoyed the taste, so may have another one today. Previously I had pledged to do press-ups etc, and interesting that as soon as I switched pledges yesterday to the herbal tea thing, then I didn't do any press-ups yesterday at all...!!! Oh no!!! I am therefore also pledging to do my press-ups, cycle crunches and squats today as an 'ongoing pledge' - otherwise I probably just won't do it!

Hope you have a great day.

Lowcal :-)

Me too. More than 40 years of conditioning to Saturday night family TV and treats I think!

But with you by my side I will be even more motivated!

Good idea to have the exercise pledge running in the background! My sleep pledge was the same yesterday. Instead of 10.15, it was 11.15! Previous alcohol and sugar pledges still running but sleep evades me as a habit. I may change it to a more realistic 10.30 next week and make it every night's goal.

Have you tried pukka tea? I only drink herbal teas. All pukka teas are nice. Detox tea is great all day. Night time tea (although the smell needs some getting used to!) Is lovely at end of day.their after dinner tea also really good...which reminds me, I must get more! Their 3 mint tea fabulous for post meals and indigestion.

Marks and Spencer strawberry and raspberry tea is delicious hot or cold. Great plopped into a water bottle to sip through day.

So here's to a snack free evening! 😊

I'm sure you can do it asics just for today. When you think about it, Its only for a few hours really, not much out of a lifetime!
