Argos have the charge HR on sale for £79.99 at the minute I think. That's the one I have and I love it.

i got the one with a HR monitor (Charge HR), which is good. Got mine from Amazon to be honest, and love it.... Can be a little obsessed to be fair :-)

I have a charge HR which I love. Mine was from Amazon but Argos is cheaper from I see from the last post. Mine was about £90. Love it

Hi Bakersdozen - I also have the Charge HR and see that Argos are selling them for £80. But if you want one without sleep activity tracking and stairmaster, I would suggest going for Fitbit Zip. Has got good reviews, great colours and a bargain at £40.

I have a Fitbit charge but had to get it replaced after about 6 months as the strap bubbled and split. I also find that the fastening gets loose as time goes on. I think I will go for the charge HR next time as that has a watch type fastening. Hope this helps.

Hi there I have fitbit flex which does everything bar heart monitor. The good thing about a flex is it is slightly smaller, narrower than a charge and you can change the colour of wrist band. (I bought a non brand pack of bands from Amazon with 20 different colours for £20.

I don't need a heart monitor to be honest. The flex has enough to be addicted to!

However steps are not shown they are just lit up dots but you get used to knowing what they are roughly in steps. And I love it when it vibrates to say 10, 000 steps are done!!

If you have Tesco points or similar check out their products. My friend used hers to buy a Charge and cost in cash was minimal.

Otherwise I am an Amazon junkie as their returns policy is so good.

I have the Fitbit HR135 and I love it. I purchased mine from Currys but it was cheaper at the time in Argos. I therefore spoke to the woman in Currys and she matched the price to Argos so got it for a very good price. So shop around first

I have the flex and love it. I prefer the flex because I can change my strap to match my mood (and clothes) Have just posted about it on another thread so not going to repeat it all again 😜

I have the charge HR, and I totally love it. It so easy to record your calories as you just take a picture of the packet and it registers it. It seems to record everything. I was surprised how much water I was drinking - over 4 litres a day, and measures calories in and out as well as steps, heart rate and sleep patter. You can also link up with friends and se their steps. I will never do as many as them as I am in a wheelchair, but at least I know my normal etc. I got mine from Argos

Thanks everyone for replying. I thought one has a fit bit only to measure steps as that is really what I am looking for but I will go into Lizzie your link and I will go and look at Argos charger and flexi. Thanks a lot.

If you only want to record steps, then I recommend the Omron pedometer from Argos (£30 I think), I love mine!

If it only needs to measure steps then surely a pedometer would do

I have the charge, which is great but as argos have the charge HR on offer I would be inclined to get that one.

I have a Xiaomi Mi-Band.

It syncs with my iPhone 4s, it accurately records my sleep & exercise and only needs charging once a month.

I've had it over a year and it only cost £6 from eBay!

Without sounding daft do you have to be really tech savvy to use these fit bits and do they show you steps etc on them or is it all downloading data etc??

moreless profile image
morelessAdministrator7 stone in reply toMidnight-munchie

That doesn't sound daft at all MM, I asked virtually the same question, but on a different thread :)

I think and I may be wrong, that you can do both, so for techno numpties like me, I can just read the info like a watch :)

Sorry slow replying moreless! I posted on here then nodded off on my chair (downside to swimming I get sooo sleepy!)

OK so its more like a watch with bits I can read on my wrist as I don`t get on well with too much tech stuff , once things get complicated my brain switches onto a low battery !!! hee :-) Thank you for your reply you are so great at helping people moreless xx :-)

No problem MM :)

You and I are so similar, I glaze over when things get too technical, but I can just about manage to read a watch, if I've got my glasses on :D

We all help each other, that's the beauty of this site :)
