When exactly is the day of reckoning Sueper?
Hi,
For me it will be the 23/12 with a last chance on the 31/12.
I'll do the post on the 23/12 and the results can roll in from then until maybe the 4/1 when the working new year starts (for me anyway). I think people have different planned dates for their targets but I am out on my works do on the 23/12 so I thought that would be a good day.
I'm really struggling with the last 3lbs of my goal, so I'm thinking for me it'll be the 31st, but let's just see what happens
I think you're very wise doing yours before your works do. I'm just hoping Christmas doesn't put the kibosh on me!
I don't think I'll quite hit my target but regardless I've had a great year, so I'm not disappointed.
So far during the year I have taken a couple of weeks off and always managed to get right back on it and lost the lbs I put on with ease, so I will enjoy myself safe in the knowledge I'll be back to me new routine in the new year.
I'm a long way off your stage of the game yet, at the moment, I'm just hanging on by the skin of my teeth
I'm hoping that as time goes on, I'll have the confidence to let loose the reins a little without thinking everything's going to fall apart at the seams
My way is a bit slower but I can generally keep it up long term. It will likely take me 2.5 years to reach a healthy weight so I have to have some planned time off the wagon now and again. Planning really helps
I suspect I've got a couple of years ahead of me, just hope I've got the same staying power as you
Well only time will tell - let's hope we're still here this time next year but several stone lighter
I'm not confident I'll ever hit 11 stone (my target) but I am still happy to keep plodding towards it - for now.
You seem really committed too so I sure you'll stick with it
11st is my target too
I was about 11 1/2st in 2005, but never made it all the way and failed to maintain. This time, I'm determined to get it right
Next Christmas we're going to be very different people - unrecognisably slim
I'm not sure I've ever been 11 stone - probably when I was 11 years old! But I can dream
I got into the 16s over 10 years ago so that is my next major target.
When are we starting the Easter challenge? And actually when is Easter? Have a feeling it us early this year.
Crumbs, you're keen
Ooh, you're right, Good Friday is March 25th.
two days after my birthday.
Part of stayIng on track ( for me) is to build a picture of what I have to do to get from where I am now to a goal. If the goal exists I can work towards it. 25th is being programmed into my head.
Seeing as Easter is hopefully not such a major pig out time I guess maybe a month before Good Friday maybe a good time to start. Although I suspect as soon as xmas is over we'll all be working on the next target
I know it is not all about me. But if you don't mind. I will start on the 2 no of Jan because my birthday is on the 23rd and a friend of mine holds a lavish party for me every year.
Oh, so true!
I love it!!!!
Ah but what's in his tea?
You can do it girls!! I am 2yrs + on my journey and 8st 7lbs down, I still want to lose at least 2st. I have found the same as you Sueper that I give myself permission to have treats on special occasions. If you eat extra food 'mindfully' I have found it easier to get back to healthy eating, for me it helps to still feel in control!
Does this work for any of you?
I agree Ros giving yourself permission to have a treat is a great way to keep on tract in the long term - so many times in the early days I craved things but knowing I was having a treat on a Friday night kept me on track all the week.
8st 7lb is amazing and hopefully by this time next year I'll be there or there abouts.
So Ros, for you 2016 will be the year you hit your target!!
haha that is funny! Yes I was, lost half a stone b4 hols and put it straight back on.
I'm not obsessed about being thin but it's about health now- my goal is to end 2016 a healthier version of myself- which will include the weight loss, but life is about so much more than that.
