need extra help any tips? lost a bit baby i had a baby in april and just lost bit
I know it's hard with a baby but I have been trying to cut down on snacking - I tend to eat lots without even realising...So I'm going to try and focus on eating 3 meals and hopefully I'll stop the snacking! Plus maybe try upping water intake? I find this really hard; but I'm going to try. Good luck, my little boy turns 4 this week and I'm still not back to pre baby weight 😕
I am having trouble have had a birthday and attacking Christmas box
of chocs meant for Christmas. feel out of will power. I know I should keep to my resolve and say NO. Will have to hide them
Hi henry, it's all down to organisation really. You say you watch what you eat, but have you got a plan, or a calorie allowance? I could watch myself eat pie and chips, but it wouldn't help me to lose weight
Have you had a look at the NHS 12 week plan? It's a very simple step by step guide to help you on the road to health and wellbeing. You start by checking what your BMI is and get your daily calorie allowance, it's then a case of making up your menus for the week and shopping for those ingredients only. Any goodies in the house are too easy to consume
I hope this has helped a bit and look forward to tracking your progress
Hi Henry, I look after two of similar age and have to be very organised. When I take the older one to football, I leave the house with sandwiches, drink and a snack for him. The younger one requires the fully stocked changing bag, which includes, two bottles of warmed milk, a warmed dinner and a dessert, as well as some dried fruit, and teddy snacks.
I dare say you do the same. I't's all got to be highly organised and pre thought out, because I'm the carer. So it's only a short step to realising that we need to care for ourselves in the same way. As Moreless says, plan everything in advance. It's b****y hard work but needs to be done.
I often have "refrigerator oats" in the fridge, kept in Tupperware containers, to give me an energy boost when I'm out and about and the food available is either unsuitable ore very expensive. If you're working, then it's something which can be taken into the office for breakfast. Bananas and apples are also easy to carry around. (Google Refrigerator Oats)
There are plenty of ideas on this site, and I'm sure you will find something suits you.
I wish you the very best, I know you can do it
Hi Henry, i also had my baby girl in april so we're in the same boat! With baby it's easy to eat quick and snack throughout the day, so I try to make sure there's only healthy options in the house.
I also make my own baby food- veggie and fruit purees, and so when i prepare the ingredients i make an extra few portions for myself so I eat the same as baby- fresh fruits and veg. I puree hers down to a mash, obviously, and the portions out aside i make into soup, or eat alongsise a protein like a slice of ham or chicken breast. It means i don't have to do 2 lots if cooking... Hope that helps!
