Hi peewee, this forum works for me. Loads of support and keeps me out of mischief when I get the munchies...good look and do post and reply to posts...
This forum is amazing and as Portlandprincess says the support on here is fantastic 😃 Good luck !
Hi peewee. Just echoing what the others have said. If you haven't already done so, download the NHS 12 week plan and start counting your calories and upping your activity levels. good luck!
Hi & welcome to our little forum. As you can already see it is great for support as well as inspiration and advice.
I started off walking early this year because I could hardly walk 1km. I can now do 10! I suggest walking locally everyday or at least 5 days a week. I usually go out straight after work and do about 30 mins but you can obviously start out doing less if need be.
I still find hills a problems but getting better all the time. I suggest you find a hill locally and walk up it every other day until you can get to the top without collapsing
It can be done - I am proof of that.
On the weight loss front, small changes you can maintain for life are probably the most sustainable and check out your portion sizes - these can be a shocker!
Good luck
I would highly recommend the NHS 12 week plan! Its been great for me, it doesn't really feel like I am in a diet but helps you change your attitude towards food. It encourages 150 mins of exercise a week, nothing major.. I've been doing a lot of walking and swimming. Good luck
