Starting again with a stone to loose. Big weakness nibbling and sweets . Belong to gym but never go too shy and a slow swimmer feel I get in everybodys way.
It is encouraging reading other peoples postings and knowing that I am not alone.
So here goes weigh 10.12 will post weight again at the Monday weigh in.

had a good week but ate some things I know aren't strickly on plan but I am happy with my half pound weight loss, will try harder this week how are you doing Gail
Hi gail325, I am doing ok lost two pounds. It is good to lose something and half a pound off is better than 1lb on.
I could not resist a large icecream in the park yesterday and a cup cake sorry two last week. Keep going. I don't suppose any of us manage to stick to the eating plans all the time.
Welcome to the forum, and I hope you enjoy your first week - hope it goes really well. Are you doing the NHS 12 week plan? It's really good. Lots of great advice and good structure. Using an app to keep track of calories and exercise can also be helpful - e.g. Myfitnesspal - which is free and easy to use.
Great that you're going to weigh-in on Monday - and wishing you lots of success with your weight loss journey.
It's a supportive and encouraging forum, with lots of great people.
Thanks lowcal much appreciated. Yes I am trying to do nhs plan.
hi rossie1942 ive been trying to lost weight and after a long struggle managed seven stone with six more to go and if you shy about going to gym why not do what i do and go for a good long walk every day for about a hour that will soon get the pounds off and for nibbles and sweets i'm on the slim-fast diet and it's done me some good, please try it and let me know how you get on. bigalan
Are there any exercise classes near you? I find it helps doing stuff with others. A good teacher will let you take a break or slow down if you' finding it tough and believe me, the students aren't all super-fit sylphs.
You feel like you need to lose weight and tone up just so you can go to the gym....to lose weight and tone up!
The people at the gym who look like they have been sculpted by God are WAY to busy checking themselves out in the mirror to even notice you exist.
Make an appt to see a trainer and get them to give you a program. They are ALWAYS so lovely esp. to people like us with size challenges and it will get you through the door and starting to feel comfortable again.
The nice thing is we are all here top support each other
Could always exercise at home. I stopped going to the gym 4 months ago and have become far fitter and motivated doing everything at home. I do high intensity interval training and weights 4 times a week first thing in the morning. There is plenty of on line advice for this type,of training. Don't need much equipment. I have a cheap £30 set of Argos weight and a foldaway bench £30 from Amazon. Only do 50 minutes at most but sometimes just do the cardio interval training which only takes 20 minutes but is still a hard workout that definitely burns fat and increases metabolism.
