Slipped up again

Having managed to break the 11stone barrier, I have fallen hard off the wagon and am now back to 11-3 I feel disgusted with myself for allowing this to happen, seem to have lost all motivation, ( slap hand) must get myself going again, knee is still painful so no walking, which doesn't help, it is snacking and picking between meals that is doing it, so I know where I go wrong. Back to a high protein diet seems to work for me if I stick to it,

Hi Dody18, you've realised what you've been doing wrong and have also seen the consequences on the scales which has obviously been a wake up call for you. You mention that you have a painful knee so are struggling to increase your walking but a few people on here seem to have turned to swimming recently, maybe that would help. Good luck with starting again and good results over the next few weeks to reverse the damage and put you back on track.

Hey! Don't beat yourself up. What's 3lb? Nothing! Start beating yourself up and a negative spiral can start (and we all know what this can lead to - more blubber, that's what). Allow yourself some kneeway and be proud of what you have achieved so far. Memo: Must heed my own advice. Good luck - onwards and downwards :D

Please don't be disgusted. We all put on weight from time to time, even really skinny people. The most important thing is not to give up. Keep going, you're doing great!

Thank you all. I had a total knee replacement end of march, as a result of surgery I had a blood clot on my lung, so exercise is out, but I do know where I am going wrong and hope to put it right, thanks for your support.

Try 10lbs off the wagon!!! Bit of a shock but totally foreseeable. Back on it yesterday though. The good thing to know is that it'll be off soon and just need to stay focused. Must admit having lost 2 stones (but put the 10 back) it got me to a "comfortable in my clothes feeling" that with hindsight probably took away the fatty feel, so I must have been psychologically happier???? But, I do have a pair of trousers waiting over the back of my bedroom chair that was my original target, and despite the 2 stone loss didn't make it into them. MMMMMMMM were they the target then I hear myself asking? Anyway, I am back on it and to be honest it isn't difficult if you have the right contents in your fridge. Go me and you Dodi18 and all of you too who read this!

Failing is not falling off the wagon, it's not starting again. This is for life, so it doesn't matter how long it takes, just get back on and you'll be under 11 stone again very soon. If it's any consolation I've been around 16st for several weeks when things like holidays and birthdays and anniversaries have got in the way. I was back to 15st 13lbs this AM
