Hi all - this is the end of my second week weight in! Lost another inch on my waist and an inch on my hips!
I made a bit of a booby as was originally weighing myself on the carpet in my bedroom! I had a feeling after reading some bits on my ARIA scales and fitbit that it needs to be a flat surface - and behold my weight has gone up due to the uneven surface...I now weight myself downstairs on the wooden floors..nice and straight! Re jigged my goal sheet and back to my regime! Chuffed to bits that even tho it looks like my weight has gone up a lil my inches are still falling! RESULT!!! Managed to get my son(13) to come running with me too...so once I finish netball for the summer hols its on with him three times a week on C25K!What with netball three times a week these next two weeks dont want to burn myself out. Must say I did an hour in the garden and smashed my step goal! May be doing the garden every week now!!

To be fair, though your scales are now saying more, if you had weighed on a flat hard surface last week I reckon that figure would have been slightly higher. Which means you have lost weight more than likely. Whatever the scales say, you are obviously doing well from the inch loss. Roping in your son is a positive step too, for both of you. Well done, hope you have a great week. 😄
Thanks for your reply Shellie - that was what I was thinking too! It was a great time with my son bonding and just laughing together well once id finished ...Its amazing how much energy the kids have ...oh to be young again! He was so compassionate too - waiting for mommy whilst i caught up!!
Times with our children are so precious and being able to combine it with something healthy is fab. My own are 24 and 18 now, times spent one on one aren't as much as I'd like. I'm so glad you enjoyed your run. Another little snapshot memory to treasure. 😊
I'm using a wooden floor to weigh myself. Sure thing, the numbers will be incorrect on uneven surfaces such as carpet. Of course, you can find specific carpets that are more even, but is it worth it? My carpet has a pretty high pile, I even need to use carpet restoration services, such as radiantcarpetrepairs.com.au/ to have it cleaned. I guess you have a similar one, since your scale numbers are wrong. Personally, I'm not relying on numbers unless your scale calculates % of fats. Your appearance says much more than scale numbers. A healthy person with 200 lbs will look far better than a 160 lbs exhausted one.
