I am trying to lose weight of at least 2 stone and have not received any info on menus/food portions and I have a hernia and waiting to have abdominal scan in July. Can someone suggest what foods to concentrate on to help me on my way please for weight loss? Many thanks.

Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan. It has lots of good advice. I've found it brilliant and it has really helped me to change my eating habits and lose weight.

The best advice I've seen is here: weightzonefactor.com/blog/f... The writer is very clever, and he taught me a lot in a few short posts. The site also has a perfect weight calculator that's much better than the BMI.

Start measuring portion sizes as well. Good luck
