bit disappointed this morning didn't lose anything, thought I had been so good, as with a lot if others night time is the worst, at least with light nights, I was moving pot plants around, never mind see what tomorrow brings.

I sympathize about the nights....distraction can be useful, especially in those first few seconds of temptation! They do say you are not a loser unless you quit, so I guessing like me, you won't be quitting - but trying not to be too hard on yourself.

Before my knee op I used to take my dog for a walk, and was down to 10-5 but since then the weight has crept up, at least I broke the 11-00 mark, love to get down to 9-7 think it's harder as you get older, your fat and yourself become good friends !!!

Definately agree about the age factor and understand the 'good friends' theory. Some days you think "well I'll just love myself the way I am and buy bigger clothes" but that feeling doesn't last long. Good luck with the progress :-)

our metabolism does slow down a bit with each year we age. I don't think any of us really want to be friends with our fat lol, I want to evict it immediately. Have to keep reminding myself it took longer than a week to put the weight on, so unfortunately it's going to take more than a week to come off.

Have you done your measurements? I do waist, hips, thighs, bust, as sometimes the weight stays the same but might have lost an inch here and there x

I'm psyching myself up to do the measurements and I do think that some areas have lost weight but the fat is sticking round the middle! It's all about the mindset isn't it? :-)

It is, and it takes some doing. my weight always go around my middle, on my two bellies. I'm only 4 days in, so focusing on keeping it going for 4 weeks when I should start to see a difference. I just need to be grown-up about it and consume less calories than I use. we'll all see it through together :-)

That's the thing isn't it - we know what we have to do, eat less/move more...but....Anyway, this is my 1st week also with this programme and I usually count my calories with myfitnesspal. However, if I've gone over the top I stop logging and think 'oh blow - I'll start again tomorrow". Maybe I should post here before I eat that bag of crisps lol. I eat & cook healthy, its the snacking that does it. What comes over us? Hopefully we can all see it through together as you suggest. I'm looking to lose 2st. Focus is the watchword :-)

lol, I though I was reading my own post then! I have checked in here every day to distract myself from boredom snacking. I wonder if others will think I've got too much time on my hands, but it seems to be working. I was about to start checking the cupboards again and saw I had a couple of emails, so I'm chatting on here instead of snacking. One day at a time, but do keep up with the fitness pal btw I do the same, if it starts going to pot, I stop logging! let's make a pact to log everything, even if its over the amount we want? x
