Again didn't do much different to normal - am I just kidding myself that I'm trying hard enough to lose weight..

Have you worked out how many calories you need to eat to lose weight? There are several sites that work it out for you but many say different amounts. I'd try 3 and then take the average. Try to stick with the suggested calorie intake for a couple of weeks and see how you get on.

Don't forget there are lots of hidden calories in alcohol and fruit juice so remember to add them in as some people overlook them.

Please keep trying. I felt I was not trying, but coming on here has helped. You will succeed even if it is a slow process. Someone told me 'If you only lose 1 lb a month it would be 52lbs in a year'. I keep that in mind when I want to give up.

It would have to be 1 lb a week to make it 52 lb a year. But, at 1 lb a month, you still lose 12 lb, almost a stone.

Yes sorry about that. I had a stroke and tend to make mistakes even though I read it before posting.

Thank you making me feel so welcome. We are all in the same place so we can support each other. Some days are better than others. I was told the following and I think it may help some of you it certainly did me: To weigh the amount of sugar I used in my tea every day, then multiply it by 7 to get a week. I was amazed when I weighed it on the scales I consumed one and a half pounds in a week. I never realised it was so much. That day I stopped taking sugar. I drink lemon or lemon/orange tea with no milk or sugar. It is delicious.
