Not sure what's wrong with me today. Am feeling pretty sorry for myself and had four biscuits after my breakfast something I never do. They were sugar free but nonetheless not good start to the day. Luckily I am now at work so there's nothing to eat my way through, only my salad I packed for lunch and no shops in walking distance.
Bad day: Not sure what's wrong with me... - Weight Loss Support
Bad day
well, onwards and upwards. If you can possibly continue the healthy choices (salad etc) for the rest of the day, it won't be too bad. Perhaps you have been denying yourself any treats and had to splurge?. Tomorrow is a new day - chin up
I know it's not the end of the world calorie wise so far today, I just feel so miserable I'm convinced I'm going to get home this evening and eat everything in the cupboards
I know that feeling. I eat a lot when I am down and I am really hard on myself after, and this often has led into a spiral down, especially when I have been trying to loose weight!
I am now trying hard to look at it differently and accept there will be low times and that that is normal, but to focus on what I have done that is positive that day instead. Have your lovely salad, may be count in something you really fancy and take time to eat it, really taste it and enjoy it, and then plan what you are going to have tonight in a positive way.
You have posted here and that is brave and positive. You should be proud of yourself for being honest and seeking support. You are doing this for a good reason and you are not alone. As size 12 goal says chin up - it will be ok.
Hi. Try to remember to take each day as it comes
shrug your shoulders and tel yourself it is neither good or bad. It just "is".
Plan something delicious but healthy for your dinner when you get home. Write a little shopping list of fresh things to pick up on your way home, maybe some strawberries to eat after your dinner too. Maybe you need a snack on your way home too, some 'skinny popcorn' or snack a jacks, you can get these in most newsagents, and this might help take the edge off your hunger before you make your dinner? Everyone has days like this but remember it all balances out overall if you can manage to stick to healthy choices most days. Lots of luck!
I've been trying to think about dinner but all I really feel like is chocolate! Perhaps I will google some recipes, am just a bit tired of cooking.
Am going to try and go to the gym later and hope that switches my attitude. Thank you so much for your comments.
Maybe you need to find a healthy chocolatey thing. Do you ever have options hot chocolate? Also you can get chocolate coated rice cakes, things like that. Gym sounds a good idea, but also let yourself have a bit of a break. Sounds like you need to take it easy and wait til you just feel the motivation hit again.
Hay eating 4 biscuits..sugar free ones at that are not going to break the calorie bank and a treat is needed sometimes as you are only human after all. It's aloud
2 things, 1. Do not have biscuits in the house. If there are other people in the house with you, get them out of the bad habit of eating biscuits, you will be doing them the favour. If they are not in the house you can not eat them. 2. If you have eaten them for breakfast then you have the rest of the day to burn off those extra empty calories. Power walk everywhere!
