Detox

After a minor slip up last night (I was a little heavy-handed with the Chinese takeaway with friends) i've made a DETOX shake to kick-start my body:

30g spinach

5 Plum tomatoes

500ml of water

25g Whey protein powder

This gives my body an instant boost of protein and fibre & helps to flush out the baddies.

What is your go-to shake made of?

Hi I like to use juice plus shakes for detoxing. Never thought to make my own.

Ahh i've never tried one of those before! What are they like?

Yeahh I make my own because that way I know exactly what goes in them, but can be a little less convenient time-wise.

I find the chocolate one the best, they are quite expensive but so easy just 35g of shake with 250 ml of milk, can add fruit and ice. I also like to as abit of coffee to it and make an iced mocha. I am going to try making my own. Could I have an idea please. Thanks

Oooh yeah that does sound yummy.

Considering you like chocolate one i'd reccomend this:

200ml skimmed milk

Banana

Ice cubes

5 cubes of Dark chocolate (65-85%)

This will give you a thick smooth smoothie with the taste of chocolate & comes to ~ 250kcal

For a more fruit based one try this combo:

200ml skimmed milk

Ice cubes

15g of Mango Cubes

Zest and juice of a half a lemon

25ml Greek Yoghurt

Bunch of grapes

this takes away my cravings for sweet things as these fruit are naturally sweet!

Hope this helps :)

Hi, that sounds interesting. Do you have that and then just eat as you normally would for the rest of the day? Have you found it helps you to lose weight? Is the protein powder calorific? Thanks in advance -

Hi!

What i've done today is swap out my breakfast for it, all my other meals will remain the same. It helps me to lose weight and also takes away bloating!

I tend to make more bulky shakes for meal replacements containing things such as bananas avocados milk mangos.. these normally come to about 250-300kcal, but this is a formula I use especially for detoxing.

Not at all suprisingly! the protein powder I use is 101kcal per 25g of which 20g is protein! I'd definitely recommend it because whilst dieting getting the right protein content in meals can be hard! :D

Recently I've been introduced to forever living products and it's the best thing I've ever did I have numerous problems and I've never felt this great.. They have a shake pouch in chocolate or vanilla has 15 servings and it's amazing to help with a healthy diet u can mix all sorts into these shakes as long as you stick to you low GI fruits. I now can purchase these at discount for being a member it's £15 for pouch so £1 per shake 😃 let me know if u like to try xx Kay
