I'm brand new and trying to get prepared for this 12-week adventure. Not being much of a cook may be a stumbling block. LOL

Welcome, I hope you find what you need in this community. Start by dowloading an app on your phone to keep track of calories (Fat Secret, My Fitness Pal...), it's a great aid! Good luck!

Hi legolas, welcome to the forum. You don't have to be much of a cook to prepare healthy meals! As long as you can chop up veg and turn on the oven you'll be fine! There are loads of easy healthy recipes online, have a browse on google, and try looking at hairy bikers diet recipes.

Best of luck and looking forward to hearing how you get on! 🌸

Thanks Anna999 (feels like I'm trying to contact the police LOL) for your word of encouragement. Will check out online as you suggest. I just need to make vegetables more appealing for me to eat. Suppose I could try curried grass!!!

Will be in touch.

Lol, you can just call me Anna. My absolute fave is roasted veg, literally chop up a load of veg, onion, mushroom, peppers, carrot, baby sweetcorn, sweet potato (not too much as high car and boil for about 10mins before you add it), literally any other veg u like, drizzle a tablespoon of oil or butter, add some mixed herbs, or spices if you like that kind of thing, stir it all up in a baking tin and stick the oven for about 45mins, check on it and and stir it up every 15 or the top bits will burn. You can also add some chicken or whatever of u fancy. It literally goes with anything, I tend to make a batch and keep some in the fridge to use 2-3 times over the week. 🌸

Wow Anna you clearly know what you are about. You even used the B-word!!!

Will get the stuff tomorrow and try this out - I live in the south of Scotland so keep a weather eye out for a red glow in the sky as I start to cook.

Many thanks. Will let you know the outcome.
