It's ok, avoid carbs and meals high in sugar for a few days and you'll be back on track!!

I had a stange moment this week where I went crazy on a sugar fix. People on this forum advised me to forget it as quickly as possible and get on with it. My take was that I do know how to do this, I had done it all week. I tried to focus on the things I had achieved (cutting down on coffee, alcohol, taking up exercise etc) and I dragged my sorry self to the gym the very next day (always a big effort for me) and I felt 'epic'. It provided me with an interesting point for reflection because I have no idea why it went wrong for me, so I decided to think about it, work out what my trigger was for overeating and develop a strategy so it doesn't happen again.

I think the important thing is not that you had a blow out, but what you do about it from now. And if you had a good week up until that point, it sounds like you already know what you're doing.

best of luck with the rest of the week. I'm sure you can rescue it and keep at it :) x

You HAVE to put it behind you and move on...... you ate it (hopefully enjoyed it !) and you can't un-eat it.......1 Chinese meal is not the end..... !!! MANY Chinese meals may be a different story but you're not going to have many are you !

Bestest wishes., trierisme xx

If it's a treat once in a while I don't see the problem. We're all entitled to a treat. Get back on track and keep your exercise up. I often eat out with friends and I've yet to have a problem losing weight on those weeks. Don't let a treat ruin your progress

Just learn from the setback and move on. Today is a new day. Healthy options and exercise and it wont be too much of an issue

I tend to feel this programme is a lifestyle choice, rather than a diet.. and with that comes a very gentle and forgiving approach - you don't need to start all over again, just continue being aware and continue doing what you're doing. It's pretty freeing to not think ahh wrecked the whole thing with one meal! instead it's more of a hmmm, now I know that chinese food is a bit of a minefield, lets think of ways of still enjoying it without going over my allowances in future ;)
