tuna: is there a low fat dressing to put... - Weight Loss Support
tuna
Morrisons do a range of low fat dressings, part of the nu me range. Only about 8-25cals per tablespoon depending on which on you get. Could use a little light mayo with it or have it with "wet" veg like tomatoes, cucumber etc
I like tuna as a little salad, dressing it with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and a chopped shallot...
Funnily enough, yesterday I was looking for something to go with tuna as well, and came across this thehealthymaven.com/2014/05...
I didn't have the apple and nuts, so skipped those. The rest comes to a mere 170 cal per serving (counting 4 servings), the serving size is about 170g, so 1 cal per gram, which I thought was very good. Avocados are in season now, they are very fatty (15g fat per 100g), so it was very satisfying. Will definitely make this again. (if you don't have all the ingredients, swap them for something else. Eg I don't like raw onions, so used spring onions instead, you can use any mustard etc.)
thanks hun just the job
I like a bit of lime juice and black pepper on mine ...x
I mix with mayonaise, low of course.
I use any of the low cal salad dressings that really are vinegary (to add flavour) rather than moist. Low cal mayo might do it, but get the low low cal one. Actually, the cheapest and most flavoursome addition is just vinegar if you can bear it. Or, don't squeeze ALL the brine out, or eat it with juicy tomatoes, cucumber and grated carrot?
a light rasberry vinergerette dressing is good.
Tiny bit of mayo with fat free yoghurt if you want tuna mayo plus maybe a squeeze of lemon
