Hi, I'm from Brazil and I'm also starting today. My week starts tomorrow. I read an article in Daily Mail and it was told this diet here is the one which works, so let's see what happens! Good luck everyone!

Hi
walking is great you could start with smaller distances until feel fitter or capable with your back and knee. I use a cross trainer at home, also do weights and step ups. Try to go for long walks on my day off, even if just to and around town
Good luck hope it all goes well
Hi
I am also new here . Just woke up this cold mon morn trying to think positive
I so need to loose weight feel too sluggish good luck everyone xxxx
Hi, I too have bad knees, one is a total replacement and the other is very arthritic but .... I have bought myself a mini trampoline and being about to run and walk on the spot without the jolting that normal running can give to knees is really good. I bounce to the music of Pink and now manage four songs before I have to give up and that is because I am tired and not because the knees are hurting. Good luck
Hi all - welcome to the newbies
Exercise is really important as you'll need to tone up as you lose weight.
I've got oesteomalacia (rickets) which has over the years damaged most of my joints and at one point I was using a walking stick as my hips were prone to dislocation and giving way.
We took on a rescue dog and I started walking 3 times a day. The weeks passed and it got easier. Sometimes I'd need anti-inflammatories before walking him if the pain was bad but it got easier and easier and I got fitter.
I've now done the NHS couch to 5k running programme and can run 4 miles with little discomfort and a bit of stiffness the next day
The increased muscle strength is protecting my damaged joints and I no longer dislocate or need the stick. And this was just walking.
Please check with your doctor before starting but I honestly never thought I'd be where I am today
