Not looking forward to weigh in. As a girl that monthly binge moment came and I totally gave in! Half a pack of biscuits and a cheese toastie took me completely over my limit!
However, tomorrow is another day. Lost 6lbs since new year got 14 to go by April. If it takes longer then so be it x

I have been struggling this week with my heaviest period ever. Good thing is that apparently our bodies burn 100 calories more on those days of the month. Don't give up!
That's why I like the 5:2 Diet so much - it's only two non-consecutive days a week!
I lost the three stone I needed to on the 5:2 Diet after watching Michael Mosley's excellent Horizon programme in 2012, "Eat, Fast and Live Longer" tinyurl.com/qzgo7tq or tinyurl.com/a8ppjl7 and went from a size 16 to a size 10 by eating 500 calories two non-consecutive days a week. I've been maintaining my weight loss since April 2013 by just fasting one day a week - in the past I piled the weight back on as soon as I finished 'dieting'. I'd very much recommend you read Kate Harrison's book, "The 5:2 Diet" (tinyurl.com/qe6mz4u) - it really does work and it will save you a fortune (towards your smaller clothes!).
I'd also very much recommend a free app for your phone called MyFitnessPal. Counting calories is very important so you can see how much you're eating and therefore eat mindfully rather than mindlessly. There are excellent videos in the Help section on the app that show you how it works - there's even a barcode reader to scan in branded foods.
It's important you don't eat more than your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) on non-fasting days. You can work that out here thefastdiet.co.uk/how-many-.... If yours works out at more than 2000 then aim at 2000 on non-fasting days.
I know what you mean, but your human, I didn't lose at all this week, but didn't put on either, like you had a bad day, but hopefully this week will be better. hope you did well
Like you say, it's a monthly binge That can be lived with. Don't be too harsh on yourself. I am on Week 2 of the NHS plan, today is my weigh in day. Last night someone put a bowl of m&ms in front of me... Today we are meeting friends and a massive chocolate cake just came out of my oven. You are not alone! Onwards and upwards, one little step at a time! We will get there as long as there are more little steps forward than there are steps backwards. I think few people can march toward their goal, most of us will dance to it (3 forward, 1 backward, turn on spot...). So keep dancing!
well i have lost 1lb last week! thats amazing considering! off to Frankie and Benny's tonight as i am meeting a friend for the first time in over a year! going to be as good as possible, but tomorrow is right around the corner and no other temptations ahead! 1lb at a time
six pounds is fantastic and don't worry about the snacking, as long as its not repeated the following day then treat it as a blip. Another 14 by April is doable even with an occasional slip.
