You could take fruit salads, or carrot sticks or celery sticks, or mix drinks using something like an nutri bullet, as these can be kept in fridges and you can make them with water and skimmed milk. Good luck.

A packet of ainsley harriots cous cous, a handfull of cherry toms, and a tablespoon of mix seeds and nuts. This very filling and healthy salad can be made in the time it takes to make a cup of tea.

I have just joined this evening as well! I am a full time nurse....no longer working nights but starting to struggle with 14 hour long days. I have gained 3 stone over the last few years, I am 52 and post menopause....eating on the day shift is awful too....tea...coffee...general empty calorie junk food THEN binge eating and wine drinking late evening X

I usually have cup a soups or mug shots...or homemade pasta with salad...just a small tub...no butter or salad dressing...or even having home made soup if you get time to make it...with bread sticks...

I always take pre planned snacks to work so i dont end up at the vending machine. Even if i dont eat them at least they are there. I take clementines, strawberries, bananas, weight watcher cake bars, worthers originals ( 3 is about 70cals) breakfast biscuits etc. I found trial and error worked best to find what worked for me. Hope it helps a little

Hi Tina

good luck, I think you will like this forum everyone is in the same boat and also really supportive, on nights you can read the posts and catch up with everyone, in between doing the rounds.

How about making some good meals during the day, quick nutritious and low cal, then take half to work for nights and half for tea before you leave home? that way, you have food and are not going to eat all the bits left in the fridge, also boiled eggs are a good snack choice, low cal, and lots of energy. I find fruit not satisfying enough and want vegies and meat, I found some excellent recipes on the BBC GoodFood site which has the calories written in for you, so a serve for two people will do you for two meals, I find a decent meal better than snacks, and lots of cups of tea with no sugar. have fun and good luck.

I am on week one and losing a bit of weight I think, weigh-in on Sunday
