I have lymphoedema and now attend the beacon clinic in Guildford ,I am very overweight and thid did not help also have vertabre damage and to begin with I could not get around as I was in a lot of pain ,but had vertoplasty op and this has helped ,
A really helpful nurse at the clinic who treats me advised my diet ,she said no bread or potatoes ,dodge any spreads and butter ,no cakes sweets or biscuits, this sounds harsh and I went home very worried ,could I do this
I have been on this for 6 weeks and at first found it hard but have now got used to it and I have lost 9 pounds ,I eat a lot of fruit vegetables fish chicken and a lovely steak occasionally, I still have a dessert spoon of mayo with my salad and low fat yogurts
I can have half a can of baked beans for tea and for breakfast I have either 2 weetabix or shredded wheat with semi skimmed milk but no sugar,
This is working for me and I feel a lot better in myself ,it has given me back my self confidence,if any one wants my daily menu I can put it on this post ,
