A little update, today is Friday, thanks god, I have managed to complete my 5k run on the treadmill, I know it is not the same as running on the road. I have tried previously but for some reason I got terrible pain in my ankle, I still do running on the treadmill.
No meat or wine this week. Just sticking to fish, potatoes, sweet potatoes, couscous, and some greens . I must say I have loads of energy. Has gone to the gym 5 days a week for an hour each day.
I have also input some weight training with my running. So far so good
Thank you all for the encouragement , never thought I would go to the gym again. My iPad, and phone was taking over my life. But hey there is another world out there.
Thank you all have a good weekend.

Well done! Coincidentally I have just read an article on running on a treadmill, I personally get bored on it but if the weather is bad I do go to the gym and use it.
Road surface can be a bit harder on the body, and a good pair of shoes is essential ( a gait analysis and proper shoes have totally eliminated an ache in my hamstring)
The treadmill is good for me, because I can't run on the road, my ankle hurts so much, but I am thinking of invested ina good pair of running shoes, I want to try the 5k on the road.
On the plus side there are other peices of equipments that I can make used to at the gym. I like doing the cross trainer as well. So keep me posted in your progress.
