What exercise are you doing? To lose weight effectively I believe it must be a combination of diet and exercise. No you don't have to stop eating you favourite foods and drinks, just cut down to begin with. Eat salad with most meals, replace 60% of sweet/fatty snacks with fruit. And exercise to your pace so you don't burn yourself out too quickly. Don't just join a gym, take up a sport. Then the exercise will be regular, focused and most importantly varied and fun.
I was 98kg when I started Karate in May, then in August I made a conscious decision to practice Kata every day and also add a short run to it 1km and I even went a week without drinking alcohol to break the habit. That 1km and an hour of Kata became a 5km plod and I was feeling the results. Now I cycle 14km a day plus Karate twice a week plus extra because now I'm down to 83kg feeling fit and loving it, all by making adjustments as I go, not trying to do too much too soon and not enjoying what I eat and drink!
So what have you been doing so far?
