Well I am 62 and am 10st 10lbs , target 10st. I already lost 17lbs since april, so its been slow but steady, purely by calorie counting and walking more. Not done anything drastic that I felt I could not maintain, and still had wine, icecream , and two holidays. Just kept mostly within 1300 cals. For the moment Im hopng to continue in the same way but realise the last 10lbs may only come off at half pound at a time, so Im aiming at Xmas.
Why do you want to weight 137 instead of 147? What is so magic about it?
Forget the scale. You are, in fact, a potentially healthy size and weight. Do you feel like that 10 lbs is sitting in exactly the wrong place and interfering with a particular clothing size goal? Cause clothing sizes mean next to nothing: you know the real trick to getting clothes to fit? Buy them to fit your largest point, then take them to a shop to have the too wide bits tailored. Seriously, thats how that What Not to Wear show did it, and thats how the celebs do it, even down to basics like a white t-shirt and jeans.
Instead of feeling like you have failed at this arbitrary measurement, feel like you have succeeded at being a reasonable weight for your height, and consider other health goals: how far can you walk? How fast can you run? How limber are you? How long can you sing a note?
You havent actually failed at reaching a healthy weight.
