Can you please tell me what you guys do at gym in half an hour to burn the most calories? I'm having trouble, I usually sprint for one minute and walk for one minute but I'm finding it hard. I see on Instagram all these people showing pictures of their polar ft4 with like 699 calories and I'm finding it hard to use my imagination at gym

If you are doing 1/2 an hour why don't you try c25k?
For calorie burning... definitely cardio! Mix it up a bit, treadmill, exercise bike even try some weights

Personally, I'd use the gym for getting yourself fit rather than for losing weight per se. The point about upping your exercise/activity levels and weight reduction is that it assists various hormone levels to change which will help the weight loss process that's being driven by the changes in your eating habits. Most of the ones that don't change as a result of exercise/activity, change through the process of reducing your body weight itself.
There are basically three types of improvement that can be gained from exercise, Strength, Stamina or Suppleness. Choose the exercises / sports / activities that best match what you want to get out of the exercise.
If you want an all round workout, try 5mins warm up, 10 mins arm resistance, 10 mins leg resistance, 10mins interval cardio, 5 mins cool down. Or you can vary the amounts.
To maximise calorie burn you want high intensity moves in short bursts. Builds muscle which then continues the burn for the rest if the day.
