You might want to look at the South Beach Diet which encourages healthy eating and switching to healthy fats; then the Paleo Diet is one that is gaining traction but I don't know much about it. And the well-documented Mediterranean Diet is a good one to consider. Atkins and Belly Fat Cure are rather heavy on protein and could cause problems like osteoporosis if followed for very long.
