Hi, I am new to this kind of forum. I live in North Carolina, USA. I am in need of losing 60lbs (27.3kg(?)). I am looking for friendships and for "advice" on how everyone is doing on their journey and learn from each of you.

I am new to this forum and looking for support and "advice"
Welcome, I am sure you'll find lots of help and support here within the community, just ask.
Have you taken a look at the 12 week plan yet? nhs.uk/livewell/weight-loss...
I have just downloaded it and have not had a chance to look at it. I have been busy throughout my day and then my computer went down and had to work on that BUT everything is up and running and I will look at it in a couple of hours when I know that I won't be interrupted. Thank you.
Hooray for someone who knows that "advice" should come with those inverted commas!
I have followed the 12 week plan and continued with my changed eating habits. I portion control by weighing pasta, rice etc, make sure I don't get too hungry and use smaller plates. like others on the forum I have recently started having protein for breakfast instead of carbs & it gets methrough the morning better.
My wieght has been 'stuck'for a couple of weeks so I am putting on a big push before Christmas to get to my 'healthy' BMI.
Good luck
I think the best "advice " I can give you is to try to have a clear idea of why you want to lose weight. For example, a few weeks ago I realized that I was always complaining about not being able to lose weight and suddenly I realized that that was the only thing i did, complain!!!! So I said STOP and do something else. So I thought about why I wanted to lose weight ( in my case I wanted to feel good about myself and be able to wear pretty clothes and feel beautiful and not feel bad about myself).. I have no health issues, so it was that. Up to now I've lost like 12 pounds. I feel really motivated and will keep it up. Hope some of this is helpful.
Good luck
