... anyone on this blog has had any experience of green coffee bean extract (seemingly as a source of chlorogenic acids) as an (alleged) aid to weight loss?
Yes I know it got hyped up something shocking as a result of a slot on the DR Oz show in the US, but I'm wondering if there are any UK users who have found it either beneficial to their weight loss regime, or a waste of time and money.
Hi I bought some on Amazon. for about £9 finished the bottle and was on a low cal diet at the time. I lost weight but can't really say if this stuff helped, maybe only in my mind
This is the Major problem with out doing a double blind
How to know if someone may not have lost the weight for other reasons
Dr Oz is always recommending stuff
If he gave me a job I'd recommend it too
When you hear of some celebrates loosing weight before starting to film their exercise video's
or sell their stuff You can see all the manipulation of the "Health Food industry" and its all about the bottom line .......got it in one ..MONEY
but hey I bought some so put me on the Suckers List1
Hi lostonrye,
Well, and I thought that perhaps I was being cynical!
I mean you've pretty much summed up my view, but I was rather hoping that someone might post something a bit positive. Who knows maybe someone will yet.
It seems, by the way, that chlorgenic acids can impede absorption of some minerals.
But there is just soooooo much waffle and half-truth told by those who see themselves as "saviours of the fat people" (but saviours at a price, that is) that it really all just becomes a total meaningless muddle for many people.
One great trick they often use is the 'independent' evidence that actually isn't independent at all.
And there are those who enjoy making a great drama out of weight loss, so a dramatic,"Mabel lost 25 tons in 0.153 nanoseconds" headlne will always grab some people - sadly.
3 of us in my household had it and for us although we were losing a few pounds it seemed to be only because they had a laxotive effect for us. Not really a great or healthy long term weight loss aid.
