try to write down everything that you eat for few days and calculate calories at the end of the day. this could give you a good insight where your hidden calories lie. and after that work out your own 1400cal@day plan.

Definitely write everything you eat - even when you 'lick' the sppon, scrape out the bowl etc. The NHS pages, Live Well 12 week plan already mentioned has food and activity charts within the 12 week plan which also help to give an overview. I wrote down everything I was eating after watching C4 Secret Eaters - what a shock. Well worth trying to watch that. myfitnesspal.com is very good for recording your food and counting the calories.

I would recommend that you follow the NHS plan, have oats with some honey and egg for breakfast and use the Vi shake for lunch. A pear around 3pm. And then a healthy dinner. It will keep you on a balanced plan. For more information see the video on visalus.uk.com Good Luck!
