Hi! I'm 21 and only just got diagnosed with PCOS despite struggling with the symptoms for a long time. I'm not looking to get pregnant any time soon but would like some advice on a few things.

1. I'd really like to loose some weight, what has worked best for everyone, are there any supplements that help things speed up? I always try to loose weight but it takes so long I get frustrated and stop. It doesn't help that I have issues around eating already haha.

2. I have horrible hirsutism, I currently just use Veet (hair removal cream) and I don't have the money for laser right now, is there anything anyone can recommend or am I doing the right thing?

3. Any other general advice you wish you had/ things I should be mindful about outside of this. ^^

I'm really anxious about this whole thing and have found everything overwhelming, hoping to get some help here. I am going to see my gp some more but I thought it would help to get some advice from other people with PCOS too.

😊

Hi

I struggle with hirsutism too, i was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2023. i started take vitamins such as inositol, magnesium & zinc, B12 and D. I got prescribed Spironolactone which hasn't stopped hair growth just reduced the length - speak to your GP because this also helped regulate my period.
