Hey,

Not sure if anyone can help me.

I am 24 and recently been diagnosed with PCOS.

I have put on so much weight and i am finding it so hard to loose it. I have no motivation to do exercise or to even want to eat healthy.

Have any of you got any tips on what I can do?

Thank you xxx

The WW plan. It’s fantastic I’ve lost 3 stone and kept it off. Haven’t exercised much at all because I’m not usually well enough to. Couldn’t recommend the plan enough. X

Is it easy to stick to? I end up giving up after a while

I’ve tried WW on and off for YEARS and always given up. I’ve wasted so much money! Until this time which is the time it’s stuck. The current plan has 3 options. I follow blue. It’s very flexible and once you get your head round it, it just becomes normal daily routine once you know points for stuff. It’s a bit of getting used to but I believe it’s worth it. The app is very useful. Not what it used to be like. My weights been up and down forever possibly due to PCOS but I’ve managed to stay around my goal weight for a good while now which is amazing. Many great WW instagram accounts to follow for inspiration. I just truly believe if your head is in the right mind set the plan works 👍🏼😊

Thank you :) I just struggle with keeping to things. I have a day where I feel so rubbish about myself and I end up eating bad stuff.

I will defo have a look into WW.

Thank you xx

I’m the same. But with WW it’s easier to not let a bad eating day turn in to a bad eating week. I feel much more in control food wise. I realise I sound like an advert 😂😂but I’m not just very passionate about the plan and thankful that I found something that works for me! Message me if you need any help 😊x

I can recommend the keto diet - very effective and food is tasty and satisfying...it has become a way of life for me now. It's also very good for PCOS - visit the diet doctor website for more info!

I lost 4 stone with Slimming World and have managed to keep it off for a year now. The groups are supportive and help to keep you motivated. I have pcos and endometriosis so didn't expect it to work but it took around 18 months and I found it really easy to stick to the plan.

Hi Elsieee

Do you cook at home? One of the best things to help control your diet is learning to cook from scratch... You can use social media and Instagram for inspiration! Don’t fall for the traps of having dieters food such as light yogurts, Low cal ready meals or diet fizzy drinks... you need real food!

I’d also suggest walking! Walking is fab exercise and doesn’t require much effort and it costs nothing.

Enjoy the steps you’re taking and you’ll soon see a difference

Good luck! Xx

Hi

I’m 24 too and I’m going through the same thing. On doing some research, I found that a low carb diet or a keto diet does help in weight loss in PCOS and also weight-training exercises help apparently. I’ll be starting my keto diet from tomorrow and I’ll be following the chloe ting challenge videos for workout since I’ve read they’re very affective. Hoping it works out!

Hope this helps :)
