I have PCOS and have been doing ovulation tests they have all been low apart from today. My periods are every month but the cycle days differ between 35 and 41. I was very excited to get this result but after doing some research it says that with PCOS the LH level can be high anyway I’m very confused. Is there any other way I can tell if it is ovulation.
Does this mean I’m ovulating. : I have PCOS... - PCOS UK (Verity)
Does this mean I’m ovulating.
Yes the way to check if you ovulate is to take body basal temperature every morning. From this test it looks like you had a LH peak surge so I would have intercourse tonight and tomorrow night. Best of luck x
It looks good to me. They can be inaccurate for some people but definitely get BD’ing. Good luck 😊 xx
Hi,
If you’re anything like me, you may get regular period without ovulating. The way my body works, is I have a lot of tiny immature eggs in my ovaries, but they still emit hormones. These hormones “trick” my body into thinking it’s ovulated, therefore causing a period. I have very similar cycles to you, pretty regular between 32 and 37 days. It may be worth getting a scan to see if you have follicles in your ovaries, and how many (I have about 90 total), so if the scan shows a lot it could be all these follicles.
Doctors may want to put you on ovulating medication like Clomid, freezing your eggs could be a great option too as you’d have lots of them in your bank!
Hope this helps
