hey everyone i’m 32 i was diagnosed with pcos in 2013 before then i was normal my periods where not that irregular then all of the sudden i started gaining weight in my mid 20s it’s effected my life massively my confidence started going down hill and i couldn’t also speak to my friends about it because i felt embarrassed and even now i feel embarrassed 😔 the doctors give me metformin but sadly i am allergic to the medication and they said there wasn’t anything else they could give me . i feel lost for hope i have learned to live with it but its changed me as a person so much i’m sensitive to things and i have moods swings a lot just wish i wasn’t in my body at times and i always ask myself why have i got this i also asked the doctors why do i have this condition they told me it’s a genetic condition that runs in family’s and they don’t know what causes it . the positive side i still have the odd period and when i do i feel human again but i go without one for at least 6months or more :( i really do hope they find a cure for this horrible condition :( i really don’t know what to do from now i have read some of your stories on here and i have a little hope hopefully one day things will look brighter for us and get easier for all of us i wish you all the best of luck in this horrible battle stay safe all just know your not alone and i’m proud of your achievements that you have made so far xxx .
