Ovulation date?: Does anyone know how to... - PCOS UK (Verity)
Ovulation date?
You ovulate around 14 days before your period starts, so if you have regular periods you can work it out that way.
I found (and know a few women with pcos have said the same) that the cheapy ovulation strips don’t work for us. What did work for me was the much more expensive (typical! 🤦♀️) clearblue blue digital kits.
I used clear and simple ovulation strips I think it was £1 for 4 my period app said my ovulation day was the 27th of March 13 days after the end of my last period but in fact my ovulation date was the 31st of march 17 days after the last day of my period my periods normally last about 5 days. It took a few months of just peeing on ovulation strips to finally find some sort of pattern but on the 31st of march I got pregnant, hard work pays off eventually.
Hello, if you pcos this can be very different to normal.. ovulation test dont normally work as your hormoney levels are already higher so its likely to tell you your ovulating for 10 of the 14 days its more likely. There are free apps such as Flo that you track each cycle length and it will calculate your ovulation window from the data you enter. You have two options around that sex every other day to cover every date or you can get basal body temp thermometer and an app to track with pcos this is most proven way to disifer ovulation day but its not foul profe you also have to wake up at the same time every day to take this temp as it needs to be a resting temperature with no other reasons for it to differ.. worth mentioning an egg lives for roughly 24 hours but sperms can live in you for 3-5 days.. every one if different. Also worth a note with PCOS you may not ovulate every month even if you have a cycle and a period.
