I have had pcos for just under 2 years now, i have been struggling with my periods as when i come on it lasts for about 8+ weeks. Some hevy days and some light days. Been to the GP they are no concerned and gave me metanmic acid and transnamic acid for it. Been having dizzy spells and just worring is this normal.

Hiya love. I have had the same situation and my gp didn't do anything until I fainted in my kitchen while my son was next to me. I told her I had been driving 2 mins before it happened. I have been on Femodene since to stop periods. I take it back to back however, I do have a break twice a year in cold months. Ask your gp if you could try a combined hormone pill back to back. There is no cure for PCOS. I've been living with it my whole life. I am 33 years old and for the last 2 years I have been on the pill and I couldn't be happier.
They wont do anything for me, i asked about the pill and they said no cause of weight so i dont want to go back on depo as this started all my problems in 1st place
So sorry to hear that. I feel your pain and I understand how horrible it must be for you. It affected my life big time to the point of me skipping work a lot due to very heavy bleeding and unbearable pain. I wish I could help you but unfortunately I can't. I'm sorry.
Its alright i have even rang emegency gyne unit they wouldnt do anything either, so i am stuck and on top of all this been told i cant have kids cause of how bad my pcos i keep thinking its edemetrious sorry cant spell it but oh well thank you
I was told I wouldn't be able to have kids at the age of 18. I was treated at fertility clinic when I was 23 and I got pregnant after 1 round of medication even though I was told it would take years because of the amount of cysts I have. I had a very healthy gorgeous boy at the age of 24 but since then I can't have more. I tried for years and nothing happened. I don't know how old you are but perhaps fertility clinic would be the answer for you if you wanting to have kids.
