I hope everyone is well and safe during this COVID-19 circumstances. I know having PCOS can affect mental health and staying indoors in this beautiful weather is not ideal!
I recommend practising something you've been meaning to do but havent had the chance due to work, studies or other things.
- Yoga and meditation can help relieve the mind also
Hi, my name is Kaprice Peart, and I am in my final year studying psychology at Birmingham City University and I would like to invite you to take part in my study. The aim of this study is to explore the attitudes and beliefs of women’s reproductive health. If you are female, 18 or over and this might interest you. I would appreciate it so much if you can complete my survey about women's awareness of female reproductive health. This is to help get PCOS known within the health community and more awareness of the effects PCOS can have in women, from helping get an earlier diagnosis to educate women about the signs and symptoms. PLEASE NOTE: This is completely voluntary

If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are all in this together:
I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 17 (now 21) and it has been a rollercoaster, I didn't know anything about PCOS until i missed my period and was 7 months late, at one point i thought i was pregnant but my mom noticed that i had gained a lot of abnormal weight, unusual hair so the doctors took some tests and that's when i received information about it. From then, the doctor advised for me to 'lose weight' and create a healthy diet and that was about it. I had to do my own research online, journals and through friends and family and didn't realise how common it actually is - which doesn't make sense considering no one really knows about it unless you have it, or you know from a family member. There is quite a bit of information about PCOS, it affects everything i say and it is very hard to come to terms with certain aspects of it and very frustrating to find a treatment or something to relieve symptoms as it works for different women. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that there is a way!
