Heart rate tracker for irregular periods??

Hello,

Sorry for the loooong post but just in case anyone’s interested or has experienced the same thing...

I have had nothing that resembles a cycle since my periods started 21 years ago (joy!). They have settled down a bit but I used to bleed for maybe 3 weeks, have a couple of weeks off, bleed for 2 days, have 4 months off, no pattern at all, that kind of thing.

A couple of years ago I wanted to motivate myself to move more so got myself a fitness tracker which happened to have a heart rate monitor. It took me a while to realise but for the last year or so I’ve been able to predict when my period would start and I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed similar??

My resting heart rate is about 64, but starts creeping up a point a day at some point. When it hits about 75-78 it drops a point and my period starts the next day. I know this doesn’t sound like a huge deal but after having no idea if my period would start in 5 days or 5 months, this is life changing to me 😂😂

Glad you’ve had such a helpful revelation!

It might be due to temperature? There are pregnancy and ovulation tests that work by checking temperature rises, which could cause your heart rate to go up.

Pretty cool finding!
