Tips

Firstly I would say don't worry about it.
Secondly, I would say try to eat as natural diet as possible.
Especially if you tend to put on weight easily. Avoid processed foods if you can.
I have just started cooking from scratch and have lost lots of weight. I am mixing lost of fresh veg together with spices,
Nothing too carby. I eat alot of quinoa, buckwheat, chick peas and chicken and fish, which I add to veg, spose it's quite Mediterranean. I also cook in olive oil.
Try to not be too dependent on sugary foods, rather just as an occasional treat. Our insulin tends to go a bit over the top.
Too much sugar or carbs can make us insulin resistant.
Try to avoid white bread, rice and things like that. I am going gluten free at mo, l am really surprised and chuffed with the results.
Although it could be because I have cut down on milk too. Less fat. You don't necessarily have to go gluten free. Gluten just happens to be in alot of unhealthy foods too. Going sugar and gluten free is meaning I am consuming a healthier lower calorific diet.
I didn't know any thing about pcos when I was young and didn't worry about my periods that were all over the place. Sometimes never came and when they did they lasted for a couple of weeks. But I understand the pill can lesson symptoms.
Are you going back for more tests?
I had to have a diabetes test, they test your blood then give you a high sugar drink, after a while you are tested to see your blood sugar count. I got to see a dietitian. But I was 40.
Hope this is of some help.
I’ve an endocrinologist test on Friday and I’ve no clue what an endocrinologist is
Hi Anonymous 7777
An endocrinologist specialise in our hormone system.
They deal with thyroid problems and things like that. with us it's or testosterone and things like that. I have never seen one but perhaps they didn't send you back then. I have just had blood tests recently for sugar and cholesterol. Could be really helpful.
