Had pcos confirmed yesterday at the fertility clinic and been told to return in 3 months time for another app. I also need to get my BMI from 39 to 32 for the DR to consider next steps. Going to be hardwork to lose the weight, any advice welcome.

Hey!! Its doesn't have to be hard work, research a LOW GI DIET FOR PCOS. It is the diet many people with PCOS are on and it helps with everything from lowering BMI to healing cysts. With PCOS your body needs have whole, unprocessed foods, foods that are naturally low in sugar that wont cause a spike in your insulin levels. My best advice would be to start slow, reduce the amount of processed foods you are eating and replace them with fruit, veg, nuts and whole grains. Try and be active for at least half an hour a day, even going for a brisk walk will work wonders If you need any more advice ill try as best as I can. ive been dealing with PCOS for a good few years now xxx
Thank you! I have a personal trainer who I see twice a week and have for a few months now and have noticed a difference in my body shape and losing inches so hopefully the rest will follow. Had a really good fortnight so far of eating properly within a good calorie range and being active. Thank you for your advice, I'm going to keep reading about food and pcos
Try the Norah Lane diet (theanswertopcos website) - they have over 1000 babies conceived (97% of ladies on the diet got pregnant) - I went on it about 8 or so year ago and have maintained the weight loss pretty well. Two ladies who did it at the same time as me lost 7 stone each in a year and conceived naturally)
